This is not consumerist propaganda (‘advertising’) but a personal recommendation for my favourite studio recording environment. If I had to produce an audio album or professionally record audio, this is where I would ideally go. The studio is housed in a beautifully converted water mill in the tiny town of Sesta Godano (Liguria), less than an hour from Genoa and only half an hour inland from La Spezia and the Cinque Terre coast. This is one of the prettiest places I know in Europe. The studio is run by Roberto, a real enthusiast, and his professional staff. The town has reasonably priced accommodation and a couple of good restaurants. If you want to work in peace and quiet with good people and state-of-the-art equipment, if you fancy bathing in the Mediterranean, chilling out and eating well, this is in my opinion definitely the place to go.
